Compensation department would not allow for a larger pay increase to match the entry level salary for the position even though I was moving from a lower cost of living area with the company to Chicago.

Wit Humana, depending on the group you began with, it can take a while for a promotion or deserving raise. Merges seem promising, but uncertain. A little shaky at times.
