Pros

- Good opportunities to work on different insurance classes - Pretty laid back

Cons

- Pay is abysmal and management are of the opinion that staff shouldn’t discuss salaries because it shows this - Management don’t care about losing staff, and would actually opt to force people out of jobs if they don’t fit the Howden mould - Howden deem other insurance companies / brokers as “nobody companies” and let their overinflated egos get in the way of staff leaving for other opportunities - Lots of middle managers who can’t manage their teams and allow bullies to treat other colleagues badly

Pros

Good benefits and work from home flexibility

Cons

Terribly low pay, bad management, too many branches and offices without proper amalgamation so no one knows who exists and what they do. Spent ££££ on sponsorships that staff don’t care about and gave awful bonuses and wage rises after months of communications about how much money they had made!
