Cons

This role was like a glorified call centre. You were selling products priced far above alternatives and forced into hitting unrealistic sales targets. Interest in wider industry discouraged, movement within the company happens when someone above leaves and never any time else. Support minimal and the managers hold their roles due to pure tenure and very little else Also - full time in office with Saturdays worked

Cons

Completely focused on growth, without correct resources/structure at the centre to “keep up”. The new central functions management team’s objectives do not match that of the different business lines and regional teams. So hard work in building process structure dissipates when/if a business does not want to adopt and no air coverage provided from leadership to the constant/unrealistic demands of business lines. Results in; long hours, excessive pressure and work going unrecognised. New management do not take guidance just give orders/present “good on paper” plans which can’t be implemented in the current structure.
