Pros

- colleagues will do their best to guide you through the crap - good opportunity to develop office professionalism if you take the opportunity - the relationships with hotels can be great and beneficial

Cons

- Salaries are way under industry standard. Do less somewhere else for more. - YM and CM roles and responsibilities are extremely blurred. Yield gets the short end of the stick most of the time. - Company has no culture at all. It’s up to your manager to try and make some sort of culture for your team. - Bonus structure is unrealistic and you likely wont get a bonus even if you over perform. - Takes at least 6 months to figure out how to do the job but expectations are high from day 1.

Pros

Colleagues are fun. That’s about it.

Cons

Centralised decision making process in Spain that takes next to forever to get any reply. Poor communication that customers know it first or media says it first before employees find out. Very pro hotel and doesn’t care about customers and employees. Discriminatory against non-Spanish. Works like a communist government where everyone is a slave and those in the leadership team dictate what to do every day. No clear vision. APAC HR VP doesn’t have leadership thinking how to defend the interest of its employees. Example: When COVID-19 struck Asia they still required everyone to work in the office. When EU got it, immediately they are work from home and globally everyone worked from home still EXCEPT Asia. Total disregard for health and well being of staff. They said because Asia got the virus first so we have all the measures in place.
