      WE had a great team of workers at that time, but wasn't utilized to the best advantage

      Pros

      They do try to support best practices, a lot of surveys,at the same time a lot of red tape.

      Cons

      They seem to have not listened to the small customer and put to many eggs in the big customers basket. There is a place there for another small supplier to get started. You could charge more money for prompt service, it costs small companies a lot of money to pay 4 or 5 guys to wait around to get service.

      1. Global diverse company with sustainable growth 2. Growth opportunities around the world 3. Health and Safety is priority number one. 4. Innovative and welcome ideas of staff 5. Great Training and development programs.

      Cons

      Very structured which might be a problem in decision making. Cement Industry market size shrinking making the company take harsh decisions.

      Pros

      The compensation and benefits are very good compared to similar job functions at other companies. The company encourages employees to think out of the box and to offer new ideas/solutions.

      Cons

      Lafarge seems to always be restructuring markets, product lines, job functions, etc. It is not unusual for the scope of an employee's job to change often; therefore, you may have been hired to do one job, but you could find yourself in a completely different function/role within a year whether you want it or not. Job stability is unpredictable due to the constant restructuring. In many of the salaried roles, work/life balance is truly non-existent. I also know several employees who never get the chance to take all their vacation days because of the unreasonable work expectations.
