      They're falling apart

      Pros

      Lafarge offered good benefits like a company vehicle, insurance, and pay was OK. Formerly dominated the building materials market.

      Cons

      You only get training if you're deemed high potential. Bad relationships amongst co-workers. A lot of management is not transparent. Talk a good game, but don't follow through. If you work your butt off it may not matter.

      Pros

      Opportunities to move, good pay, good benefits. Good place to go if you want to advance quickly, have a thick skin, are untroubled by low workplace morale and are very aggressive.

      Cons

      Health and family suffered due to the hours. Sometimes as much as 36 hours straight. No people development except through experience (sink or swim). Inordinate number of managers were unethical. Too many close calls with safety.

      Pros

      Even if you get only 4 hours of work, we got 8 hours of pay. Pay was incredible! 1.5 Pay after 8 hours, 2x pay after 10 hours plus pay for lunches if you were unable to take them

      Cons

      Long days but otherwise no cons
