Pros

Family owners. But it stops their

Cons

Hilti Australia has been known to offer great training, however the reputation of Hilti has changed they have lost over 6 account managers in Sydney alone 2024. The head of sales in NSW performance manages majority , and lies on data points to try make them put on performance manage plan which is near impossible. She will make any one she doesn’t like life’s hell. It doesn’t help she is best friend with HR , who also turn an eye to do this. The new Hilti is border line to fair work obudsmen. Hilti is all about its customers and servicing them . To her it’s all about sales force and ensuring you do leads and opportunities everyday . If you make a move at Hilti which the divisional manager doesn’t like you are targeted by her . And she will never forgive you even if it is the right decision, you will be pushed out of the company and it’s shame one or two people in NSW can have such high influences . She is the reason why lots of people are leaving

Pros

Great workmates and flexible to a degree

Cons

Working at Hilti can be a mixed bag. On one hand, it's a good place to start as account management. But there are some real challenges, such getting paid 75k-80k per year One big issue is that you often have to chase senior managers for support. The current focus seems more on impressing higher-ups than looking out for the team. Hilti used to be great for learning and support from managers. But things changed with new senior managers who care more about admin work than actually helping their teams. They might even throw you under the bus to score points with higher management. Senior account managers have it tough. They have to onboard newbies for months while trying to hit their own targets. This leads to a lack of support for new hires, who are promised a lot during recruitment but then face a steep learning curve and little help. Many experienced managers have left recently, frustrated by the emphasis on fake data over real support. And while tools like Salesforce are powerful, they've become more about admin work than actual sales, eating up a lot of time on your laptop than being out there getting sales Some sales managers also lack cultural sensitivity, making the environment feel outdated and unwelcoming to diversity. If you're into administrative work, Hilti might suit you. But if you want strong mentorship and a supportive culture, it might not be the best fit right now.

Say Goodbye to Growth

Pros

You get good incentives only if you do like 150% or more. Also too many factors responsible to cut down your incentive. You get car which is good. You learn street smart sales.

Cons

Be prepared to retire as a sales executive untill you can lick everyone above you. You will fill development forms every year with no result. Show job offer and you can get increment while on job. Even if you get promoted as ASM you will feel like quitting because the pressure is senseless. Every year 25% target growth irrespective of how bad your area is or how bad the market is. Hire and Fire policy. Top management has formed a flock of sheep and will promote only who are as dumb as them. If you are smart you wont be promoted as you will be a threat to them so if you are smart either you switch or dont join in the first place.
