Pros

You get to work with some really smart and interesting people. And meeting some celebs is an unique perk. As a filmmaker, I never expected to earn a middle-class salary, so I do recommend it for film folks. Work-life is hard until you figure it out. Layoffs are rare, but have happened.

Cons

Half of the managers are insane, and make everyone's lives harder for no reason. As a video shooter/editor, I don't have much room to grow unless I want to get into management. Work will pile on, unless you get proactive about protecting your time.
