Pros

Beautiful new LEED certified building, free beverages, good food, friendly security, fastest elevators, nice community of media companies all in the same building.

Cons

Inconsistent internship program experience. I had two supervisors who didn't get along or agree on my internship tasks and responsibilities.

Pros

If you tow the party line, you're fine. If you attempt to have any free-thinking ideas, you will be out the door.

Cons

Highly political environment. They could care less what you know as long as you do what you are told and on time. Even then there is always risk they will lay you off because they are reckless when it comes to that.

Pros

The building is unbelievable. The management is generally fair. There are many different areas that one can pursue. This can mean different magazines, newspapers, TV stations, etc. Also one can work on the editorial staff, sales staff, marketing staff, etc. So there are a lot of different avenues or employees.

Cons

The entry level salaries are not that competitive. You would usually have to work in NYC which can be expensive. Your experience is totally dependent on the media outlet you work for.
