Pros

Treat their employees well and have strong internal facing communication fostering a positive culture. Management styles are reflective of brand/division (which varies widely), however upper management is positively motivated to move the company forward.

Cons

Magazines are going through growing pains and brands are redefining themselves in the evolving marketplace. It's difficult for a large corporation to move with speed, but they're trying. Salaries are known to be lower then competitors.

Pros

Good building; lots of perks; great coworkers; delicious food; internal job board

Cons

Mean Human Resources department; art gallery isn't as stocked as it could be; gym only has one scent of body wash; sometimes, the sushi bar runs out of tuna; there are only 16 elevators, so you might have to stop at other people's floors

With a company this size in the heart of New York City, employees in these departments work the best to keep up with the demand.
