Pros

Good culture, fostering inspiring collaborations with smart, diverse colleagues. The people in this company are its greatest asset, and it knows it (mostly). Good opportunities for growth.

Cons

Different departments can be a bit silo'd, even within a single brand. Sometimes the supporting departments-- information tech, finance, HR-- end up driving business decisions instead of facilitating the vision of brand leaders. Recognition is freely given, compensation somewhat less so.

Pros

I had so much freedom and responsibility. It really let me get a feel for what working at the magazine would actually be like. I was always treated with respect and learned so much.

Cons

No pay and having to recieve credit for the internship means it is very expensive, but well worth it in my opinion.
