Pros

Great people, titles, culture, office and experience

Cons

Miscommunication, managers approach things very differently and are allowed to because senior management allows a laissez faire approach.

Benefits are great but no work/life balance

Pros

The benefits were amazing. Hearst is a great company to work for!

Cons

There is no work/life balance. When I was hired, I was told after a year of working overnights, I would be loved to dayside. My contract was for three years and that’s how long I worked overnights. If there was severe weather, you were expected to come into work and be there for as long as needed. There were many times I was there for 15-18 hour days, slept for 6 and then was back for 12-15 more. It was exhausting.

Pros

The office was comfy. Nice co-workers.

Cons

Not paid enough. Management often forgot about night shift when considering parties and benefits. Heat sometimes was turned off at night. Low salary
