Pros

Reputation and growth are very important and available. With such a successful company, you will have opportunities at your fingertips. But it will require for you to be creative and proactive to make long lasting strides that will be acknowledged and appreciated.

Cons

Big company has its expected challanges. It is very easy to work for an extented period of time and not be noticed easily. You have to make continous attempts to show your talent and that you can provide differnt benefits to the company.

Pros

incredible learning opportunities, competitive pay

Cons

Frustrating management practices-- it's very common to promote someone past their competence level just so a manager can get rid of responsibility for him/her.

Pros

Very good work environment. Co workers are very helpful. The benefits and compensation are average compared to other oil service companies. I feel very comfortable here at Halliburton and not scared of there employees. The people here are very socialable and easy to be friend with. Lots of anniversay and birthday parties held here, which allow the employees to get to know each other. As a co-op here they are very flexible with your hours as long as you can put in atleast 20 hours each week. They allow you to take as much time off as needed to keep up with your school work.

Cons

pay is not very good compared to other companies. As a co-op they do not pay you as well as other oil service companies do. They sometimes make you do busy work and non engineering things. I learned a lot here at Halliburton but not as much as I expected to learn from work. Not a lot of hands on work, do a lot of work at your cubical at your own pace. There are no raises for co-op who either return each semester or change academic status such as from a sophmore to a junior like other oil service companies do.
