Pros

The company is stable and an industry leader. Despite the reputation outside the industry, Halliburton has a good reputation among our customers - every major oil company in the world.

Cons

Very old school. Slow to change and does not seem aware of just how old school it is.

Pros

401K is ok Medical Plan is good Stock Purchase is good Lots of positions get a company vehicle Opportunities to go international

Cons

Work in garbage towns. 100 hours of work a week (mostly paperwork) and all you hear from management is complaints. Come home covered in mud for less money than anybody on location. Managers and sales are out of touch with field employees.

Pros

Very good training and support. The first 6 months as an engineer is spent taking classes. Pay is competitive with excellent benefits. Very understanding management in terms of taking time off.

Cons

Very long and irregular hours make it very difficult to have a life outside of work. Massive disconnect from the field to major offices.
