The pay in the oil and gas industry is among the best. Halliburton pays in the middel. Benefits are good.

Cons

Raises are less than the rate of inflation. Work / life balance is of no concern to management. Difficult to use vacation days.

Halliburton will provide extencive training to new employees and offers a vast aray of information thru its many Knoledge Bases.

Cons

Upper managment has no respect for the comon employee. They are unwilling to work with you if you need time off for personal issues. They have no problem firing you for taking a day off for being sick. They also try to instill the beleif that is you report harrassment that there will be no retaliation this is false as its the good old boys club. If you plan on advancment do not try here unless you have a relitive that is in uper managment. Mangment also dose not follow most of its Code of Business conduct rules and if you report an infraction you waisting you time nothing will come of it.
