Halliburton Technical Professional-Field Engineering

Pros

Good pay with bonuses. Oppurtunity to grow quickly, ecspecially if you ask. A lot of locations to work with relocation included. Other smaller companies pay more, but Halliburton will provide job security and more oppurtunity for advancement.

Cons

Long hours in the field. Some jobs require staying in hotel or sleeping on location for a week or more. Most locations are rural and not very desireable to live.

Cultural diversity. A lot of time for yourself because of 35 on 35 off rotation. Good money to travel when off.

Cons

Not intellectually stimulating. Not a lot of scope to grow.

Good Company with a Solid Reputation. Very Friendly with a relaxed office atmosphere. Seem everyone is well equipped to do their assigned jobs.

Cons

It might imply being away from home most of the times. Working in the middle east seem very risky. Concerned about freedom of expression & religion in the middle east.
