Pros

Decent compensation. Ability to work from home. Friendly direct managers.

Cons

Work is pigeonholed. Management assumes your current responsibilities is all that your capable of —> difficult to move over/up. Poor HR personnel. Too much offshores as far as work. Exec Management cares too much about shareholder return instead of employees, leads to constant revised goals, policies and standards.

Site closure, layoffs, could be political but that's to be expected in a corporate environment

Pros

the bank is going through a period of rapid change, especially in my industry (risk management) the senior management is willing to change and committed to change good package

Cons

it's a heavily fragmented bank, so many inconsistent practices across different areas typical of large organisations there are many inter dependencies, which mays driving change hard seems to have a "let's have it all" mindset, instead of clearly prioritising
