Pros

Global name, will look good on the CV, hard to get fired, alot of employees and the bank is doing generally well in the world.

Cons

very long hours, not much prestige in japan and managers were expatriates who didnt really understand the local market. Local hire pay was poor.

Pros

Employees will have exposure to international opportunities, either through secondment or working with staff from other countries. IT department is well established that employees will be able to learn about standards, best practices as well as how a bank run. Usually IT professionals such as developers, BAs and PMs will be working on projects from all sizes ranging from under a million to over 20 millions.

Cons

As the organization is large, the opportunities for promotion within one country bank or Software Department is limited as staff then to stay in a position for a long time. Also, due to the complex working environment, there are a lot of procedures to follow for making even a small change.
