- They are hiring random people without skills, you just need to be able to use your language and you can do all the mistakes you want they will forgive you which penalize people that have more knowledge and give them 2-3 times more work.
- Do not expect promotion or anything if you are not friend with management - I saw project where they were fighting who will be the closest to the manager.
- No training, incompetent people stays incompetent, if you dont work by yourself no one will help you to develop.
- If your manager/team leader is a tyrant, be prepared your project will be horrible.
- Some people that doesn't know you are reviewing your annual performance and giving you notes (this review is once a year) - depending on this they decide if you deserve higher salary or promotion, you cannot increase salary without this and it is harder to get promoted without it. If you fail or if they do not give you what you expect you will have to wait one full year more before expecting anything. This review is in June, if you join hcl in between May - December do not expect to have anything before 2 years as they take in consideration 12 full months and probation period doesnt count.
- Salary is on time but lot of issue to have bonuses paid, huge lateness, for example night bonuses from July paid with the salary end of september, in 14 months i can count in one hand the times that everything was on time.
- Employee are not considered as people, they are putting just enough people to cover shifts, whatever if there is not enough people and that you cannot take break without closing the line.
- They are taking contract without paying attention if there will be agent to work on this, I've seen project launched with 10 agents while they received globally 1700 calls in a day - I've seen people sent to other project "just to show client that seats are not empty" when there was client visit at the beginning of the project.
- You cannot request anything, HR/Payroll, high manager, no one is responding to their mail even team leaders are sometimes cannot do anything for you as no one is responding to them as well
- Huge flow of unecessary internal communication - Lot of spam everyday about things that are not related to your postion/department or even location
