Pros

There is a laid back culture, one of "as long as the work gets done" Good career procedures in terms of career break and they promote some excellent employee care. Heavy staff turnover, moving opportunities in areas where you may not get a chance elsewhere.

Cons

That the managers do not follow what HR preach, that pay comparitors are very vague and almost all employees are unhappy in this regard. Different people on different teams earn different amounts and outsiders can join the company on more money than the existing staff. The local management is poor, made up of document writers but poor decision makers. Organisation is poor, and therefore means the company firefights more than spending its time promoting better services.

Pros

If you want a place to coast until retirement you can join the other "living dead" that inhabit the place

Cons

Management focused only on bottom line, no resources, company unable to compete properly, lots of very senior people who do nothing just waiting to retire
