      Avoid this company at all costs.

      Pros

      Salary is good.I think that's it. Benefits are poor. 9 day fortnight is supposed to make your work/life balance perfect... But Managers expect you to work off Fridays.

      Cons

      Procedures driven. Managers are largely absent, but expectation that you will give your life to the company. Expected to arrive before 7am, and not leave until gone 7pm. Only expected to put 40 hours on timecard. All staff deemed Lazy and incompetent unless you are a manager.

      Pros

      Good local culture, social atmosphere, good benefits. Strong, well developed, global infrastructure, policies and procedures. Good place to start a career and develop a foundation, but difficult to progress a career further.

      Cons

      Extremely volatile. Management, on all levels, is very conservative and encourages things to be done the way they have always been done above all else. Technology is extremely out of date. Need to be in the "in-crowd" to progress or even be retained in the company.

      Pros

      Fluor is a very big company but there are opportunities to make a career at Fluor for one willing to put in the extra effort. Good training, varied projects and assignments. Oversees assignments also available if you let it known you are interested. Benefits are good - especially the TOWP (time off with pay). Generous TOWP and you get to keep it and roll over each year whatever is not used.

      Cons

      Negatives are also a result of being big. You must network with lots of people and get to know the management. Volunteer for assignments, charity events, etc. Opportunities sometimes require one being in the right place at the right time.
