Pros

Excellent community of employees. Plentiful programs and ability to connect to people. Strong autonomy to employees. Ease of changing position and moving to new tasks, locations, and roles.

Cons

Larger company provides less opportunity to rise rank in the standard sense of professional development. But you can advance by changing position easily.

Pros

Have opportunity to construct many refinery/chemical/petrochemical plants. This is the company that you can jump into many different kinds of engineering discipline. Overtime (> 40 hours) will be paid.

Cons

Prone to energy price cycle. When in downturn, many people will be let go. Sometime, projects require people working on the weekend (but never on Sunday)
