Pros

It's a steady paycheck. You work all the overtime you want and then some. Good place to work if you want something temporary.

Cons

Its a company that has no loyalty to its employees. There is not a good work to home life balance. Flowserve cookeville works on a bully system. Management uses intimidation to get results from employees. I worked there several years and regret staying as long as I did. No room for advancment. Once you are given a job you will stay on that job. I have no ill feelings towards Flowserve . It's just not a good place to work. Reward goes to the undeserving and friends of management. Factory operates on a buddy system.

Typically a steady pace and solid market to keep the demand for business. Well known company within the field. Established customers and international reach.

Cons

Union labor in the metal working departments. Siloed departments who withhold information and are unhappy with management. Most of the salaried staff does not like working there because of the stress levels. Always late on delivering products to customers due to delays in manufacturing. This leads to dealing with very angry customers (rightfully so). Bad location in Vernon, CA...

Raises are low. No work life balance. Never gives enough time to complete projects before they are starting another - when the previous one still does not work properly. 'Cast System' with management. No team building and one company sponsored event.
