      Pros

      Broad portfolio of products that are well known provides stability.

      Cons

      Company overreacted to downturn in the oil and gas industry. Layoffs and constant restructuring have left employees with ever increasing workloads and little assurance of the future. Your potential for growth is highly dependent on which business unit you are in. There are a few units where almost all managerial pro options seem to come from.

      Flowserve used to be a good company to work for. But unfortunately, oil market went down and along with it Flowserve

      Cons

      Full of Racists. No career growth. People get promoted based on who they know and not based on merit.

      Great opportunity for learning

      Pros

      Good working environment. Lots of opportunity for training, development and hands-on experience. You are able to learn as much as you are willing to learn. Company will invest on your training and give you a chance to utilize your skills and knowledge to solve real life problems and provide solutions to customers. Practically a good place to develop and grow your experience

      Cons

      Low or average pay. Not willing to pay enough to keep applications engineer for a long term period. Rewards for performance is not commensurate with some of the nearly impossible goals which are set for employees in the performance management program.
