Pros

Having worked in tooling sales for 21 years I've been in every machine shop in eastern North Carolina. This is one of the best! I had worked here before from 8/1987 to 10/1997 when it was Edward Valves.. Safety of employees is plants highest priority. Competitive pay. Competitive benefits offering. Clean work environment. Responsive to questions and concerns. NOT a production environment. Usually one of these, two of those. Always something different and challenging. Keeps it interesting. Equipment is fairly well maintained. Co-workers are friendly and very helpful. Getting it done RIGHT is more important than getting it done FAST and possibly wrong. If you need something to perform your job company is happy to supply it. Engineering staff listens to shop floor employees regarding issues. Company offers lots of training to help you advance in your career. Overtime usually available if you want it. Usually voluntary.

Cons

Priorities can change fast. I've done three setups in one day and didn't cut on any of them. People will "borrow" items from your workstation and not return them. Next time you need it you have to hunt it down, or find something similar.
