Pros

My immediate team is great. I'm able to work on exciting work where I have an impact. My direct manager is awesome. I have had plenty of opportunities to grow and develop in my career. Once every 2 weeks, we get a Learning Day. It's my favorite benefit.

Cons

The upper management went off the rails during Covid. They used to treat you like an adult and trust you to get the job done. Now they have gone full force back into 20th century command-and-control mode and micromanagement with 21st century technology. It's increasingly dystopian. I could see it coming and warned about it in previous reviews, but upper management, especially HR, is going to destroy this company. It deeply hurts me to write this. I have spent almost 2 decades here. Fidelity used to be a "we"; now it is a "they". I can't recommend this as a place to work because I don't know what the next random misguided HR policy will be, and I don't want that on my conscience.

Pros

Bonus 7% match after the initial year, though it 100% vests after 4 or 5 years Hybrid work

Cons

A push for 2 specific weeks in office a month without the support or clarity of the requirement. - Employees do not know how attendance is tied to compensation - Rumors come out after the fact about how PTO effect in office week "count" - One office recently ran out of parking, seating, and food for the new 2 week mandatory request - and somehow people are still trying to go into that office If feels like this organization wants people to quit and is making it miserable for everyone in the mean time.

Pros

Good benefits. Greats 401k matches if you can survive on poverty pay.

Cons

They sell you on flexibility and then once you’re locked in, there is none.they pay less than you’ll have to pay a babysitter, and if you leave to pick up your sick kid from school, they expect you to make up the hours. Micromanaging is rampant. And they have no tolerance for women who have obligations outside of work. Given the pay is less than what you’ll pay a babysitter, the proposition is grim.
