Pros

Colleagues - good work atmosphere Employee discount in the App

Cons

- Another start-up run my millenials with great academic accreditations but a lack of professional experience. - It is supposed to be a technological company and they rely on super inefficient systems that slow down everybody´s work and creates mayor issues involving several departments. - Lack of direction: CEO and other management still don´t have a clear idea of what they are trying to sell. - They rely heavily on external investment and they clearly do not make proper accounting calculations in the long term, which creates rounds of employee hires, followed by massive layoffs overnight.

Lots of fun but no room for growth

Pros

-Fun team activities happen frequently as freebies are often given to the Secret Media network. - Great team of people and a lively atmosphere. I met some great people and made lifelong friends during my time here.

Cons

- They pay interns a criminally low wage and go through a lot of them - effectively using university grads as free labour. To give you some context, I was paid £400 per month for 25.5 hours per week when I joined. When I was promoted to a full-time permanent role following my internship, I was barely earning over minimum wage. They attempt to justify this with the freebies that the Secret Media network recieves but, unfortunately, complimentary cocktails don't pay the bills! - High staff turnover due to lack of career progression. If you get stuck in the wrong department/role there's very little room to progress. This is why I chose to leave the company. - Management doesn't view copywriters or videographers (the creatives who have made the Secret Media network so popular) as valuable team members. I felt really disposable and underappreciated during my time here. This resulted in a feeling of resentment throughout the team. - It certainly feels like a 'boys club' with such a high percentage of the management team being male. It's a young startup and 80% of the Secret Media readership is female so this is really surprising. As a female employee, this was extremely demoralising. - Huge issues around professionalism. A lot of information being passed from senior to junior employees that certainly should not have been shared. Boundaries were crossed so many times!

Pros

The product is genuinely great as you get paid while making money for partners you onboard.

Cons

This is a tech company with labour operations in Spain. They think they are ahead of the silicon valley curve, but basic operations struggle to properly organise and firewalls between cities lead to wasted resources and wasted revenue opportunities.
