Pros

Not too many, due to my handicap i get to work from home, my manager lets me makes my hours flexible and he is the greatest manager but????

Cons

For a multimillion dollar company the are cheap about what benefits they offer, cheap on payroll, I put in for job upgrades a year and a half ago and never heard anything more about it which shows me that they really do not care if I'm around so I am pretty much at a dead end job. What really stinks about all of this is I am ready for retirement so looking for a new job really isn't much of an option. I took this job due to I was laid off from another job and after being unemployed for two years, it was a job. Now I am stuck in an endless cycle going no where.

Pros

The money during peak season is good, and you can transfer as a package handler anywhere in the United States.

Cons

Everything. The regional managers and Hub managers are toxic. They breed a culture where they move their favorites people to better positions. They open positions for applicants and waist their time, when they already know who they are hiring and are just appeasing HR requirements. The managers who are bad, they do nothing about and they treat people worse than dogs there. The work life balance is horrible, you’re just an ID number to them. I am thankful I got into logistics when I did or I’d of quit way sooner then I did. Orlando area Fedex is horrible and breeds a horrible good ol’ boy network. Don’t apply to that cities hubs.

Pros

Fine, if it’s not your main source of income and you know what you’re walking into. Pay is decent, but hours depend on volume and your willingness to go out of your way to work at other stations. They require 6 day work weeks during the holidays which isn’t too bad, because it usually also comes with pay incentives. However, most employees are not made aware when they are hired.

Cons

Don’t work here if you plan on making your whole living here… Fast-paced, intense physical labor with no breaks. (I’ve gotten sent home for stoping briefly for water/food after going non-stop for hours.) Communication is terrible. They will cut your hours and pay for the potential of very little profit. I’ve watched them force managers out of positions with as little as two weeks to figure something else out. I have also watched them seemingly ignore problems with a manager who was known to be inappropriate with women. He still works for the company. They have promised pay incentives and then attempted to not follow through on that promise (employees had to threaten quitting and lawsuits). They will hire you at full-time status, fail to give you full-time hours, then force you into part-time ($2/hr pay difference).
