Pros

Good hours/ benefits, flexible vacation time, employee discounts (airline, car purchase), workload is not difficult if you have any kind of good work ethic/ intelligence

Cons

Promotions only available to IT-type people or if you kiss up to the manager, project work/ performance review system is a joke, same mundane job day in and day out, no working from home because certain people abused the privelege so now nobody can do it, incompetent management/ director, too many "lifers" that can't carry their own workload - but they are not reprimanded or fired, everyone gets the same 3% raise every year - regardless of performance, if you are a productive worker - you get rewarded with MORE WORK, and you get to do the lifer's work since they don't care to do it.

Pros

1. Company has a good reputation 2. Good work areas with large cubicles 3. Competitive salaries and benefits 4. Cost of living is low in Memphis 5. They advocate work life balance but it really depends on your manager 6. Discounts on many things all over the city and elsewhere

Cons

1. Too much upper management. Too many layers of management 2. Not many career paths. They don't move people around very much. You can get stuck in the same department for years and years. 3. Lower and middle managers are on average not very competent leaders 4. Politics politics politics 5. Very bureaucratic. You have to go through so much red tape to get anything done. There is a convoluted process for everything. 6. The various operating companies and regions function as different companies sometimes with their own rules and processes 7. Those awful acronyms that don't make any sense 8. Performance reviews that are very subjective and the manager's word is final
