Pros

awesome friendly work environment between couriers and lower level employees. fun for a while. good pay for hourly if you do not have a family. good benefits. flight discount.

Cons

management is often under qualified, big headed and is quick to issue a OLCC or warning letter. very fast paced environment with NO room for excuses. you break your leg, you better be at work and have your deliveries made on time.

Modern Day Slavery

Pros

Well ignorant people in Memphis think working at FedEx is such royalty, so I guess you'll have that conversation piece going for you. Other than that, there are no pros. Read the Cons rant.

Cons

You will get yelled at like a slave, talked to like you you're ignorant, and treated with no respect. It's the job you choose when you have zero other options. There is zero work life balance to be expected. They pay you enough for you to eat two meals per day, become late on your bills, and have just enough gas money to make it back to work, which is usually every day. So, you're basically working just to survive and go to work for FedEx. Modern day slavery. . . The only way you will have enough money for anything else is to work your shift including extra time in the AHEAD program. Which means you will be at work even more, so the extra money is pointless because you're always at work. . . Oh yeah, the job is dangerous depending on what you do.

Pros

Great company image, excellent training processes and refreshers, decent benefits.

Cons

Didn't care about work/family life balance although they claimed to and pay was not that great compared to other companies. The mandatory overtime at Christmas just about killed any Christmas spirit since you would be so tired. Not many options for advancement within the call center and now they are going to at home reps model.
