Pros

Can come in late and not be introuble as long as you called in Laid back line & sort managers Career Advancements Move up's Hard work reconized Paid time off Good first job

Cons

Corporate managers talk down to you & talk trash to you for every little thing or just to nit pick you just cause. Very low pay for what is expected. If your a loader they'll flood the belt with boxes just to get you out faster, meaning if your in the unload they are really pushing you and your body to get all of those boxes out of the trailer that quick. They're people who steal and don't do their job at all, but they'll treat the people who come in everyday and do their jobs like trash and slaves Corporate Managers and Line Managers are to busy flirting with the girls at work more then helping out or doing their jobs, even though their is a no date policy between managers and regular workers but it doesn't stop them from trying or succeeding. Not enough hours at all, did you know management get's a bonus for getting us out early, they even use to go without giving us breaks and force us to say yes for breaks even though we never got them, just to get us out early. They say they get you insurance, never got it. Expects too much from you. Most new workers come in see their first checks and never come back. To far out so if your car breaks down, you might as well quit. If your a loader you get blamed for everything, instead of corporate managers talking to the contractors about the heavy loads. Sometimes ops managers are completly disorganized, and make our jobs harders Drivers might start stuff with you & a higher up manager will take their sides, then the worker who does all the hard work. Causes high stress levels for yourself & your body.

Pros

Ha. You get benefits even if your part time. But you can't pay for anything else on the wage you make so not really a win.

Cons

$13.67 is not fair wage for package handlers who use their bodies to do a nonstop physical job. Potential to hurt your back there is a matter when not if. If you get hurt on the job they treat you even more poorly and will try to get rid of you. Turnover rate for package handlers is insanely high so no one bothers to learn your name. They don't go over any of the "benefits" in person they just send you a bunch of info in the mail. Raises are pathetic. Many people who have been there 10 years or more or only making a dollar more than new comers. They stopped honoring their 17 hour guaranteed work week for PT package handlers. If u participate in the 401k you have to stay with the company at least a year. I was a week shy of a year and lost out on that. Overall it's a crappy company to work for. They make billions of dollars but don't care about or take care of their workers. There are easier jobs you can do for the same or better pay. Don't waste your time here.

Pros

Good workout if you lift properly

Cons

EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. You will definitely get hurt at this job, it's just a matter of when and how badly. It was crazy seeing how intensely some people were maimed working as package handlers. That's why they promise such a high starting rate. However, they will try everything to pay you less than you signed up for. It was ridiculous how many hoops I had to jump through to get the pay I was promised.
