Don't know how the company still exist.
Pros
Vacation and benefits for after 6 month probation period. Great gig for part timers as they receive benefits as well. Paid for uniforms by te company to include an annual reimbursement for steel toe shoe.
Cons
Low pay for back breaking work. Route selection and vacation/time off based off seniority. Max pay takes forever to achieve when competitors like UPS only takes 4 years not to include max pay is very little compared to competitors. Healthcare and retirement benefits has gone downhill by a landslide margain compared to competitors. Worse is management will try to use you for everything possible from package handling to cleaning crap up bc FedEx isn't a union and there's no strong core with fellow employees so it's straight bs. The company tends to hire racists so beware if you're a colored person. Management will try to make you do stupid crap and micromanage you if you're not white...YES THERE'S A LOT OF FAVORITISM. Competitors are offering bonuses and huge pay day while FedEx is offering a lifetime of health issues like a broken back, torn shoulder(s), etc,...and just bc they have a crappy workcomp insurance they believe they've repaid your injury and will try to make you work twice as hard. Injury last a lifetime. Management is quick to blame the employees even though the employees have nothing to do with the issues like late freight or being understaff. Management is quick to cut hours and get ppl off the clock or make ppl come in later but when there's a crap ton of work to do they'll try to force you to change time for them. It's not a stable job for hours if that's what you're looking for.
