Pros

Good work/life balance as I was able to work full-time and attend school, 3/4 time. Benefits were good as well - I fully appreciated the tuition reimbursement.

Cons

I don't understand how and why they keep the managers that they do. The ones that I had the opportunity to work with were very poor examples of leadership. Meanwhile, the employees that worked hard, provided the team with examples of leadership, were overlooked when the management positions came available.

Pros

Good benefits, paid time off, education reimbursement, etc., Experience in the printing industry gained, computer training

Cons

Expect to work with the technological ignorance of both the public and some team members. Definitely a job you must enter with some computer literacy. You will be asked to do just about everything in the store including but not limited to running and quality checking full orders on your own. Although you will be trained in the basic of consulting you will not however have any training using the OTP interface unless it's hands on. Expect that management needs you to have just about all areas 80% learned within 6 months.

Pros

Great for students because you can use the downtime to do schoolwork or read. Paid vacation hours.

Cons

The entire company is "black and white". Management is very weak and not informative at all. They will point you in a different direction when asking for help. When applying, the info packet stresses that FedEx prides itself on providing room for opportunity, but this is far from true. The way the compensation is set up, you are paid just enough to survive, but not little enough to leave (being that starting pay is 30% higher than minimum wage). Don't expect to move up into management in your store, they only accept transfers from other stores/states. Scheduling changes every week.
