Pros

You might get decent benefits. You don’t get the same benefits as FedEx express or corporate.. I believe they get 80% match you get 60% with FedEx Office. You will learn a lot about computers and printing, but the down side is the skills you learn can not translate to any other company or position. It’s an easy job. That’s all it is though is a job. You aren’t making a difference in society or growing as an individual. You can get away with doing nothing if you act like you don’t understand the job. They will not fire you for being late, under the influence, calling out, leaving early, stealing paper/materials, talking back/ attitude, or being out of uniform. You can do whatever you want without repercussions. Everything listed above may or may not have been something I’ve done while employed. YOU CAN DEFINITELY TRANSFER AFTER TWO YEARS TO ANOTHER PART OF THE COMPANY I.E SERVICES, EXPRESS, GROUND, LOGISTICS OR CORPORATE ECT. GOOD WAS TO GET YOUR FOOT IN THE DOOR IF YOU CAN STICK IT OUT.

Cons

Small staff, lots of drama. The mangers show favoritism with scheduling and time request off. The mangers either micro manage you or are literally no help at all. High responsibility for very low wages. The management makes the team members view revenue and profits. Quiz Z the staff. Do multiple trainings per year. Assign homework to complete in addition to your normal job. It’s quite a lot for an underpaid hourly employee. Very high stress. The customers are very rude. The managers don’t like to or are not trained to help individuals with language barriers. You begin to feel like a robot repeating the same phrases all day. The job requires personal interaction but you can’t be creative. You must stick to the phone greeting, door greeting, and consulting communication steps. ZERO room for growth, once people get on they stay with the company for years. Weekends are required, they never close. The stores are open seven days a week, federal holidays, other holidays, nights, during inclement weather, power outages, and state of emergency events. Never closed.
