Pros

Benefits are top and they focus a lot of energy toward education of employees at all levels. The company sounds great on a resume. Hourly employees working on the dock have big opportunities to become a driver or move into management positions through driver apprentice program or leadership apprentice program.

Cons

Working a 10 hour day is a short day. 12 Hour days are the norm. Working most likely on night shifts that put you on an opposite schedule as everyone else leaves no time for a normal life outside of work. You will be micro-managed and no matter how well a job you do you will get nasty emails from upper management on things you should have done better. The emails will be about the same content, but from multiple managers.

Pros

FEDEX pays well compared to other companies.

Cons

FEDEX says they have until the day of your requested vacation to let you know whether or not you have it off, regardless of how much notice you give them. It makes it imppossible to schedule a reservation. So if you plan on working for FEDEX just don't plan on ever getting any time off!

Pros

Very provessional environment with plenty of opprotunity to futher a career in freight. The company benefits are top notch and are better than most. During strong economic times the bonus progams are fantastic.

Cons

There are more rules to follow than anyone can count. You must make sure that all your i's are doted and your t's are crossed. Be ready to hit the ground running each and every single day. There is no room for slackers.
