Great job for hourly employees.

Cons

Supervisors treated the worst in this company! No accountability for hourly employees and no policies to protect supervisors. Will NOT let low seniority employees off for Dr appts or emergencies. Be prepared to get write ups for everything.

Meet some really good, hard working people. Make lots of overtime pay.

Cons

Horrid management that is on a power trip! Little to no bathroom breaks. They'll basically keep you on shift until the work load is done, leading to EXCESSIVE overtime that you do not have a real choice in. This is usually due to the fact that they are constantly understaffed. And any little mistake -- They will write you up just to dangle job security in your face, and then at some point, they will use it against you to lead to terminating you. The whole place is about "cycling". You pass the work and the blame on to the next person. Yes, it may be easy to get promoted over there, but keeping your job is the real game. You also get stuck working in horrible weather conditions. Either way, STAY AWAY BECAUSE YOU WILL CONSTANTLY HAVE TO WATCH YOUR BACK.

Pros

Flexible, weekly pay, easy to get days off. Great workout. Very physical. Great discount on FedEx products and shipping rates.

Cons

Severe glass ceiling. The Sparks location of FedEx Freight is a service center not a hub. You can be a dockworker or a driver. That's it! Give one of those positions 5-8 years of hard work and then you may become a supervisor. The only way to move up is to move away. Part time employment only for dockworkers.
