      Motivated Through Fear

      Pros

      I had lots of freedom when it came to running my operation. Great training ground. Had a good five week manager training program.

      Cons

      I had four DM's in one year. Management would offer positions and deals that they were not allowed to authorize. My last DM who was a ten year manager with the company use to scream and yell at me about numbers and then explain that he managed through the idea of fear.

      Fastenal offers good retail experience.

      The pay is terrible and there isn't much opportunity for advancement within the company.

      Pros

      Some autonomy about your day to day. You do get to drive a company car during the day so you don't tear up your own.

      Cons

      Pay sux unreliable PT'er leaves me working later and later all the time unbelieveable sales goals. Too much work for not enough pay Take it or leave it brainwashed middle mgmt.
