Pros

Fastenal School of Business-Training Advancement Opportunity (due to high turnover) Unpredictable days - always something new

Cons

I took a failing store and doubled the sales the first year, then the 2nd year, but on the 3rd year the sales took a nose dive due to factory closings...and they fired me..via TEXT. No loyalty to hard working employees. Warped commission structure = NO Commission NO raises Long hours doing everything from scrubbing toilets, unloading trucks, taking phone orders, picking orders, selling and delivering as General Mgr. Stores are grossly understaffed.

Pros

Company is growing, if your in sales you have a good opportunity to make good money as you are in a bonus program.

Cons

Not a lot of room for advancement, company seems to have a lot of family and friends so if you haven't been there since the beginning or have family who's been in the company then advancement won't be an option. CEO doesn't feel computer department contributes to helping on sales and considers it to be an expense - IT department only got a very small bonus and since has been excluded from the bonus program and base pay compensated, but is still $5000 - $7000 lower than the national average for the area on annual pay.

Pros

Great place to make local industrial connections; good entry level way to learn the ins and outs of a diverse sales environment; company will likely do well for a time because they force sales staff to rape the customer on pricing and pay next to nothing on national advertising (by relying on low-paid sales support to do sales calls on the promise of advancement)

Cons

Low wages; branch managers are poorly trained and often unqualified; promises of advancement depend on sucking-up to DMs, not on loyalty or performance
