Flexible schedule, ability to make decisions on your own, laid-back culture, company trucks.

Cons

Fastenal does NOT offer full-time to anyone, and they cut the part-time hours from 24 to only 17 hours a week due to "company saving during the holidays."

Casual attire. Focus on continuing education.

Cons

No one wanted to help me learn. I had never worked in that kind of environment and no one was willing to train me. I got left alone in the store by myself the second week and I almost quit. There is a lot to learn. It is attainable, but management needs to help the employees one on one or with a trainer. An online program does not help everyone. This job would have been great but I think the location I worked at was unorganized.
