There are not many pros. Some of the FEW are that you get weekends off and workdays are not too strenuous.

Cons

Poor pay and benefits. Management thinks they are better than you. They place you in a far location without telling you.

Pros

Flexibility. Independence. Decent starting point for a great career. Good for college students who plan to do bigger and better things.

Cons

Base pay is not that great. Commission; if margin isn't high enough they take money out of commission. If customer doesn't pay their bill within set time, the commission originally earned is taken out of your check even if the company pays later on. Lack of training; basically thrown out in the field to figure it out on your own, but expected to do your job well. No communication. Extremely high turn over rate. The company makes it really difficult to sale the product due to high prices. You're expected to be an accountant, sales rep, inventory manager, delivery person, and so much for such little pay.
