Pros

Relatively easy job Company promotes from within Flexible schedules for people with multiple obligations Successful company that continues to grow and create job opportunities

Cons

Low wages in comparison to similar companies Very strict rules regarding overtime hours. All employes start as part time workers with the promise that after 6 months full time work will be available. I know people who have held part time positions for over 3 years.

Pros

Working for Fastenal gives you a chance to make your own schedule to a degree. You can take days when you need them as long as you don't overuse. Great training.

Cons

You work hard with very little appreciation or incentives unless your in sales. Even when you get to that point unless your Margin, Actives, and sheer luck of draw of existing customers are all good then your commission suffers. Starting at part time for minimum wage with a four year degree is ridiculous. Good luck advancing if you aren't friends with upper management.
