You truly learn how to run a business. Fastenal gives you great sales experience.

Cons

Most Fastenal branches are understaffed and that creates challenges. Base salary is not that great, but commission potential helps.

Pros

You get to work with some good people. Customers are great, product selection is great. If you like doing grunt work all the time no matter your position in the store (Part-time, Sales Support, Acct. Manager, OSP, GM), then you will have a great time here.

Cons

Corporate initiatives are absurd. They claim "decentralized decision-making" but they will stick their hands in your business far too often.
