Pros

Good entry level job to learn the industrial distribution business. I worked for this company many years ago and the experience helped me get much better paying jobs.

Cons

Low pay and the Christmas Bonus was the same as it is now. A box filled with jelly beans, cheap candy and a sausage stick......A real treat for the whole family!

Customers are awesome! Training is the best... with schools that offer management courses, vending training and other training's if a really good company like Grainger, MCC, WhiteHead, Kintec and so on do not have openings Fastenal is a great place to get training while trying to get on with a decent company.

Cons

Extremely low pay. Hours to pay ratio for management are around 10.00 per hour. Long hours, nights and weekends. Stores are way understaffed so that Fastenal can portray the image of more profits. High turn over through out the company. It is a very unstable company and high risk for failure in the coming years because of it. Lack of integrity through out the company....and little to no support from D.M's...which the upper management may well figure out soon.
