Pros
Gets your foot in the door to get your tech career started During your 2 year contract even if you're let go, you're still paid a base salary of 18000(in your first year, goes to 20k in second I believe) A huge network of other FDMers Access to LinkedIn learning and other benefits to increase your marketability. Play it right and you can network like crazy Huge client base (blue chip companies) including massive fintechs, banks etc.
Cons
2 year contract If you break the 2 year contract you have to pay for the training you received. (£15000) Training is NOT worth the £15000 you get "charged". There are some incredibly bad trainers, you just need to pass their exams(some are relatively easy, some are a bit harder (unix for example) . You can and should use a tonne of googling to get you the knowledge you'll need. Requires a degree through the normal entry (2.2 minimum) Psychometric Tests can be incredibly boring.
