Weigh Your Options Well Before Making a Decision

Pros

- Potential of working for large and/or multinational companies, providing a professional boost . - Possibility to shift career path, although it may depend on individual performance and the company's existing needs

Cons

- The workplace culture is often weighed down by an excessive emphasis on professionalism, leading to a focus on impressions and presentations rather than the actual substance of our work - unproductive work environment . - In addition, account managers don't always get held accountable for their performance, resulting in an environment where employees feel undeserved or unsupported. It's possible to lose your role working for a client because of your account manager's negligence - there's no safeguards against such incidents. And if you need onsite support like certifications, forget about it - account managers will forget about you once you're on site . - The contract, which obliges work for over 2 years, gives the company significant leverage while providing relatively little protection for employees. Account managers can implicitly use the contract to compel consultants to toe the line. Not only that, but clients' needs are often prioritized over staff, with no protection against excessive overtime work, sometimes even outright denial of its existence.

Pros

Pros are simply non-existent at this little company

Cons

- Micromanagement of consultant on bench, with the manager not knowing how to do anything (she even failed her scrum master test when we held scrum meeting everyday) - Account managers put 10 candidates to interview for 1 headcount, then proceeds to blame the other 9 for their lack of competency, although the 9 already passed all signed off test and training by the company, which means the account manager do not approve their trainer's decision and the recruiter's opinion - Mandatory to speak English in the office, speaking Chinese will be not allowed. However, speaking of Russian is ok for white passing exotic minorities. Double standard and racist, classicism - Bound for 2.5 years or more at the company, with the period to be determined by the competency of account managers to get you a placement
