Pros

FDM deliver exactly what they say: training and 2 years experience at good companies. Entering the job market with a 2.2 at university can be difficult but with FDM this has been made much easier. I read the training agreement before I started and weighed up having to fund myself through the training period (6 weeks for me) and whether it was worth it or not. I've been fortunate to be at 1 placement during my time at FDM and have been looked after very well.

Cons

Funding yourself through training (6 - 12 week approx.), not a decision to be taken lightly. But don't moan afterwards when you knew this was the case at the start. The pay is too low if you wish to work in London or if you have to change location for your role.

Pros

- The training is pretty decent and you will learn quite a lot of interesting information, but this depends on the stream you take - They can get you placed in a top blue chip firm and help accelerate your career - The trainers in my office were really nice and helpful - You'll probably meet other trainees that are nice

Cons

- Poor salary, especially if you find out how much they charge their clients for you - Many people started getting paid for their training after we started, when we raised the issue they insulted us - The account managers that "help" place look down on you and you are generally at the bottom of the chain in the company, no one will respect you there - They do not care which of their clients you want to work for, you go where you are told whether you like it or not - Essentially to them you are just a commodity to be sold. - People within the company will lie to you, especially to try and get you to join their scheme, I fell for these lies

Pros

Trainers are pretty helpful and the fellow trainees are a great network to build. The roles they allow you to get are generally fantastic especially if just starting out of college.

Cons

Unpaid training and low starting salary for two years which they are upfront about. I'd recommend putting time into your resume (which they help you build) and treating the job seriously. Those that treated it like a job got placed in good roles and those that treated it like school or didn't take it seriously may have trouble.
