Pros

None, start of pay of 12 bucks for 4 months. Not worth it.

Cons

I am with FDM for more that 10 Months now no job no pay. Their job posting is exactly same as other agencies. Companies look down on FDM consultants, they see them as useless. The contract makes u binded to FDM and you cannot apply outside. Im sitting at home and unable to apply to jobs outside. THERE ARE FAKE REVIEWS ON HERE, CLAIM THAT FDM IS VERY GOOD. THEY ASKED EVERYONE AT FDM TO WRITE POSITIVE REVIEWS ONLY. THEY TRY TO MAKE U BREAK TO CONTRACT, WHICH WILL RESULT IN A PENALTY ABOUT $30,000. TAKE THIS ADVICE AND DON'T JOIN.

Thank you for your feedback. Your comment regarding “no pay for ten months” is concerning as all FDM employees receive a regular paycheck; there are no unpaid roles. In Canada, FDM compensates all consultants from day one of their training through the two-year placement period, whether they are actively on-site or between client placements. If there have been issues with your pay, please reach out to our Payroll or HR department who will investigate immediately. FDM’s careers program is unique and we recognize that it may not be the right fit for everyone, which is why we try to be as transparent as possible in explaining the model as well as all the terms and conditions (including the salary) during the Interview Day. This is also why we offer the 2-week ‘cooling off’ period after starting for you to better determine if FDM is the right career path for you. As a business, FDM wants to successfully train and place every candidate we recruit; having a consultant break their contract is a loss to us and something we would never encourage. Though in most cases our consultants are pre-selected for a client placement before they even complete their training, occasionally this is not the case. It is the goal of our Account Managers and Consultant Support team to minimize consultants’ downtime between roles or after training. If you are, as you say, sitting at home, my first recommendation would be to come in to the FDM office. Request mock interviews with our Account Managers, additional training from our academy, and ultimately aim to continually hone and improve your skills so that you will perform to the very best of your ability for your next interview with an FDM client. FDM is here to help in any way we can, so I encourage you to take advantage of these resources. We do not solicit fake reviews. The honest feedback from our employees is important to us and we truly listen to the comments we receive here. While I’m sorry to hear that your experience has not been more positive, many FDM consultants and employees do enjoy their experience with us and leave honest feedback indicating so. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss your feedback further if you’re willing. Andy Brown

Pros

Great Training from people who know the IT Business but some of the training is actually quite basic and low level. Designed to get you in the door so they can start billing more than equip you for a career.

Cons

Really poor communication with sales people. They are never available and never follow up on problems unless its from the client. You dont matter to them at all. They also asked me to give a positive statement of Glassdoor as I was a trusted person. This is my statement. They are trying to get people to change their rating so they look better. Avoid if possible.

We take all feedback seriously and I’m sorry to hear that you don’t believe the account managers care about you. All our employees are important to us and I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how we can change this perception with you. I appreciate that communication can always be improved and I would like to assure you that trainees are the most important part of our business. Please email me at andy.brown@fdmgroup.com so that we can discuss this further. On another note, we always encourage people to post an honest review on Glassdoor in regards to their experience – which may be positive or negative (we do not ask anyone to change ratings). Pros

- Free Training - Bursary paid - Free coffee machine -Quality Training (for foundation modules only !!!)

Cons

- Non-Experienced Java Trainers - Trainees are treated differently - Unstructured training (not following the plan on LMS) -Sales team are not transparent (trainees do not know whether their cvs have been forwarded to clients or not ....also no feedback in case of rejection). -Constantly telling people that the percentages of trainees finishing their training and placed is 99.99% (complete nonsense ). - some CVs were not being forwarded to clients (not all trainees were given the same opportunity ). - trainers are not supportive

We welcome all feedback and are always looking for ways to improve. I’m extremely sorry to hear that you do not feel that the training was structured or that the trainers were supportive. Your comments about the Glasgow Academy and trainees being treated differently worries me; and if you are willing to contact me, I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this further so that I can personally look into any issues that may exist.
