Pros

The benefits are good, and you'll be working for a recognizable brand. There are a lot of talented and interesting people in the company. Travel is an interesting and complex product - you'll be challenged and never bored.

Cons

Senior Management changes every 16-18 months, constant re-orgs, and high employee turnover rate make it difficult to execute against any vision. Compensation isn't on parity with the expectations of the amount of work you can accomplish. 10+ hours a day are not uncommon - especially in the dev and IT orgs. Highly matrixed organization to the point of being ineffective. Legacy technology platform hampers innovation and speed-to-market.

Pros

You get promoted if you deliver what you say you are going to deliver, or try and learn from your mistakes. Everyone's opinion is valued. In the end, the political or dumb people get found out. The smart, good people are one's that make it through.

Cons

Getting to be a big company, hard to know who to go to for some things as teams are growing so fast.

Pros

The benefits are really fair.

Cons

You can never get a straight answer from Management or HR. You will only get promoted if you are well liked by your management team regardless of performance or competence of the job. TOO MUCH GOSSIP and backstabbing. Hate to say it , but I personally think there are too many women in management there to be able to get a grip on the GOSSIP. In my experiences I found that management (including HR) are the main ones that are generating rumors and keep tension in the different departments instead of trying to get teams to work together. The compensation is minimal. One year I got my review and could only get one mark higher than I received and got a .36 cents raise!!!! Way to pay Expedia....remember you get what you pay for, and the employess show that on a daily basis. Also most of their support sevices are outsourced to different companies..... SUPPORT AMERICA THAT SUPPORTS YOUR REVENUE!!!!
