Pros

Allows for quick promotion into managment if performance is strong. Feeling of accomplishment and self worth this brings.

Cons

Very very long hours. Once you start doing the math you realize the money is below average for the work done at the Assistan Manager and Branch Manager positions. Once you become a manager you are no longer an hourly employee, and do not need to be paid overtime, so upper and middle managemtent don't really care that you are at the office from 7AM to 7PM, with a few nights here and their until 8pm.

Pros

The skills you learn to take to your next job. Companies look for an enterprise background. Enterprise will rarely fire you, they most likely want you to quit.

Cons

Too many hours to little pay. The way we have to been over backwards for customers is ridiculous. Management does not support if you need to take time off . With the "rightsizing" there are now limited position for advancement. If you want to leave Enterprise, you will be considered an outcast and will be asked to leave immediately. The pay structure is horrendous, if you are profiting too much they will find a way to limit it. There "is" a cap on how much you can make.

Pros

Opportunity for advancement, peer interaction, one will have a variety of experiences to put on resume, formal sales training, other potential employers will recognize your hard work, good benefits.

Cons

Long hours, little pay (around $10/HR), work weekends, embarrassing to tell your friends where you work, rude and angry customers, constant pressure, takes forever to be promoted to where the job is decent, assistant and branch managers are new to management which means they are not good managers yet, and even if you are i the top 1-5% of the sales force you only get a $300 bonus each month.
