Cons
1. Salary isn't competitive with the UK market. 2. The company isn’t flexible, even for parents. Yes, they offer hybrid working, but it's strictly managed by a rota. The "Flexi Friday" policy doesn’t make sense – you have to plan overtime just to get a half-day off on Friday (which is odd, because overtime is usually something that happens when necessary, not something you can plan in advance). 3. Expect long, unpaid hours after 5pm, with occasional weekend work (also unpaid). The workload is heavy, deadlines are tight, and it feels never-ending. 4. There’s no real autonomy, there are clear hierarchical reporting lines. 5. The culture feels school-like, with managers acting like teachers. If you make a mistake, you're "punished" by getting more work or being overlooked for a bonus. 6. Long hours are rewarded. Employees working until 10pm every night get promoted, while those working their contracted hours (until 5pm) aren’t recognized. 7. Favouritism is evident, especially with Italian employees. They tend to advance faster than others, and non-Italian employees often have to work significantly harder to be noticed for promotions. Even then, promotions are slow, unless you’re Italian, of course – then it’s a different story. 8. Location in London could be better.
